Christmas at the Museum
Our very own Vilonia Museum of Veterans and Military History, located at 53 North Mt Olive Road (right by the Soccer Fields), will be holding a Christmas Event!
This Saturday, December 5th of 2020, from 10am to 1pm, there will be carriage rides, free coffee and cocoa, and a chance to meet with Santa (kids, bring your letters!). Bring your cameras as you tour the Vilonia Museum of Veterans (tours are always free at this nonprofit museum dedicated to veterans). Masks are required inside the museum and six foot spacing will be marked, but the event will be held mostly outside (except for that amazing tour, of course). For more information, you can call Linda Hicks at 501-796-8181 or check out the Veterans Museum Facebook page.
Another event on Saturday that benefits both the museum and Wreaths Across America is the Pulling for Veterans Trap Shoot sponsored by ERA Team Real Estate. It will be held at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's Camp Robinson firing range, located at 574 Clinton Road in Mayflower. There is a $50 entry fee to participate in this clay-pigeon shooting competition, but everyone is invited to watch! There is a 100 participant limit, so be sure to register now! (The registration form is available here) First round begins at 9:00am but day-of registration, if slots are still open, is from 7:30 to noon. For more information, please contact David Patty at 501-951-2419.
