Blood Drive

Arkansas Blood Institute is currently facing a dangerous emergency blood shortage and is issuing an immediate call for donors of all blood types. The shortage has been worsened by high usage at the hospitals, as patients return for medical care deferred by the COVID-19 pandemic.. With the 4th of July holiday in the rearview and an uptick in COVID cases – this will not only challenge the ability to collect blood, but also likely result in additional trauma-related hospital need, exacerbating the shortage further.

The Vilonia Fire Department will be hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, August 13th, from 8:30am until noon. Donors will receive a Back on Tour t-shirt. To schedule online, click here.
